ONLINE SUPPORT FOR YOUR CHILD AND YOUR FAMILY
What Is Teletherapy?
Teletherapy is the delivery of speech and occupational therapy services via high-resolution, live video conferencing. Teletherapy allows for therapeutic services to be provided online allowing for families to receiving therapeutic support within the comfort of their own homes.
The therapy provided over teletherapy is the same as the therapist would deliver face-to-face, only teletherapy is done with a computer! Our therapists use a mix of traditional therapy techniques with digital activities. Our therapists enhance teletherapy benefits via direct parent involvement which aids in the carry-over of therapeutic strategies and techniques into the home.
What Equipment Is Needed For Teletherapy?
The only equipment needed for Teletherapy will be a computer with a working microphone, speakers and webcam, headphones and Internet connection.
In some occasions we might ask you to have certain toys or tools that we can use during our session.
Is Teletherapy only for older children?
Teletherapy is for kids all ages.
Our younger kiddos are enjoying and actively participating in Teletherapy sessions!
For some of our little ones, a family member might be asked to participate in sessions. Teletherapy can be used as a coaching session for parents and caregivers too. This gives us a great opportunity to have more family involvement during sessions.
